Kodim 0508/Depok bekerjasama dengan BPMK Kota Depok menggelar penyuluhan program keluarga berencana dan kesehatan di aula Balaikota Depok, Jum'at (27/5). Penyuluhan tersebut dilakukan dalam upaya mengendalikan pertumbuhan penduduk dan meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat di Kota Depok.
Penyuluhan yang melibatkan perwakilan warga dari 63 kelurahan itu dihadiri Wakil Walikota Depok Pradi Supriatna, Pabandya Bakti TNI sterdam jaya Letkol Czi Edi Martadinata, Kasdim 0508/Depok Mayor Mistar, para Danramil dan Babinsa.
Kepala Staf Kodim (Kasdim) 0508/Depok Mayor Inf Mistar dalam sambutannya mengatakan penyuluhan ini sebagai upaya mendukung program pemerintah memberdayakan masyarakat guna membangun keluarga kecil yang sehat dan berkualitas. Menurut Kasdim, ada dua aspek yang terkandung dalam penyuluhan ini, yaitu aspek peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat dan aspek kesehatan.
Wakil Walikota Depok, Pradi Supriatna memberikan apresiasi atas upaya jajaran Kodim Depok menekan pertumbuhan penduduk.
"Tugas TNI tidak hanya mempertahankan NKRI, tetapi mampu melakukan sosialisasi masalah KB juga. Kalau bisa Babinsa ditambah agar bisa menjangkau seluruh masyarakat untuk ber KB,"pinta Pradi.
